Study Program Profile

The Informatics Study Program is one of the study programs under the Faculty of Science and Technology at Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The Informatics Study Program falls under the Formal Sciences category, with a degree of S.Kom (Bachelor of Computer Science), as referred to in the Decree of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 257/M/Kpt/2017 concerning the Name of Study Programs in Higher Education.

The current curriculum is the 2024 OBE (Outcome-Based Education) Curriculum with an integration and interconnection paradigm. This paradigm is the basic concept guiding all study programs at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, implying that religious and general sciences are interconnected and complementary. In this context, the development of science in the Informatics Study Program is directed towards achieving an integrated and interconnected concept of religious knowledge (an-nash) and natural and social sciences (al-ilm).

The Informatics Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga was established in 2004, a result of the transformation of IAIN (Institut Agama Islam Negeri) in 2004. Throughout its journey, the program has achieved several accreditations: C in 2008, B in 2013, and A in 2017 based on the Decree of BAN-PT No. 2380/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VII/2017. In 2022, the Informatics Study Program obtained an "Unggul" (Excellent) accreditation based on the Decision of LAM INFOKOM No. 104/SK/LAM-INFOKOM/Ak/S/XII/2022, valid until December 15, 2027.

The S1-Informatics Engineering program is also registered in the Higher Education Database (PDPT) with the study program code 55201. The establishment of the Informatics Engineering Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga is based on SK No. 3538/D/T/K-AI/2009.
